Default SQUEELING BRAKES

Hey guys,
new owner black07 r/t with the r/t package, hopefully one of you guys can help me out. I have about 700 miles, when I first leave the house the 1stcouple of times I brake all is quiet, after that whenI start to brake aboutthe 30 mph range the squeeling starts. To avoid embarrassment I brake at the last minute, pulling up next to one and have them check out the car is cool, but then they hear the brakes and coolness is thrown out the window. When I leave work the same scenario happens, it appears that once the brakes warm up the problem starts, any advise would be grealty appreciated.

Dude,

Ususally (if it's the front) I would remove the break pads and re-apply a thin coat of the black or blue (sealer) whatever it's called in back of pads. Let it dry off and slap them back on ... should fix your problem,

This may sound odd but I promise that it works.

The noise you are hearing is most likely from the Caliper piston rubbing against the back of the pad, and most likely the pads you have on the car do not have shims on the pad. If this is the case you can try to put the goop on the back of the pad but I do not like this stuff because it is sticky and messy, and if you get it on the pad itself it can cause the pad to squeel even more.

I use just regular old silver duct tape! You only have to use a peice that will be big enough to cover the caliper piston. What happens is the sticky residue from the tape goes away due to the heat but you are left with the stringy part of the tape which acts as a buffer between the back of the pad and piston, thus stopping the metal on metal contact.
