Default Accelerator issues

my first ? is can you tighten the throttle cable? if so how
Also im having some isssues getting my truck to go
(99 durango 4x4 318 5.2) it seems like i gotta "mash" it to get it to go.Also when i come to a complete stop i dont even have to hold the brake it just stays still by itself thenI go to take off I gotta mash it
any one had this problem or know what mine is and can help.

I think that's a tranny issue.It mayhave to do with your torque converter. I don't have a lot of answers about tranny's but your torque converter would be responsible for the launch from a red light. Only thing I can tell you do to is check your fluid levels.

I know I don't have to hold the brakes at a red light on most occasions. When the engine is warm and at a lower idle (compared to cold start) and if there is a slight incline, i don't have to hold the brakes to maintain a stop.

it acctually seems liek the brakes are hung up holding me back.
Ive been through the whole brake sytem recently s thats not the issue

i just figured thats a good way to explain it

You're on the right track but like Deerang said it could very well be a tranny issue. I know nothing about trannys though so sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.
