want a Durango
Dodge told me that they are chrome, not just the sticker labels. I dont care either way, its my husband that is wanting them on. Dee, nice mud! I just got a silver sticker that says "I make mud look good"....lol. We go 4wheel riding down on Canadian River, but we will still be taking my husbands Tahoe, the sand stinks! I have a concern though, the Durango gets really bad gas mileage, about 11 mpg. We towed our 17ft aluminum Bass Tracker today, and it probably got around 8mpg. Right now I say I dont care bc I LOVE MY TRUCK, but ask me again in a few months...someone had mentioned putting in a K & N air filter? I dont kow anything about suping anything up, and I dont see how an air filter would help gas mileage??? With only 55k miles, I wouldnt think a tune up would be necessary?? Now I dont laugh anymore at what I said to my husband when we first started it up and heard its flowmaster rumble and I said "Well there goes a quarter tank of gas"....
An air filter helps mileage because it lessens the restriction on the air inatke. To put it simple, The engine doesnt have to work as hard to suck air into it. There is less "strain" on the engine to get air. I think that's as easy as I can put it.
I'm pretty sure my SLT badges aren't chrome, because it looks like the "finish" on them is peeling off. But the R/T may have gotten a chrome package, to match the grille.
