well after months of searching for a suv I finally decided on a durango, but now I have theD my original plans were to leave it stock but I cant help it lol I want to make it more powerfull especially after seeing my buddy's 2007 trailblaizer SS beat some gt mustangs and more lol, so what are the options on the durango for more hp, I have a 2000 durango with the 5.2 rwd I was really looking for the 5.9 but I got a dang good deal on this one for $5000 with 80,000 miles so I couldn't past that up

 

Welcome to the Forum, I would say leave it be and stay stock, save the money so you can look for a 5.9 or maybe a HEMI on the next purchase.

 

well really honestly i just wanted a lil more hp than what it has, I was really hopeing there was a chip for this motor????

 

CAI, exhaust, a programmer of your choice, larger TB, bigger gears, internals, 408 stroker, turbo/s or a SC, etc. etc. etc.

 

turbo's would be nice......but I'm not that serious at this point but what about this progammer thing, what is it is it something i have to tune myself or is aleady tuned, how much hp does it give.....any links about this

 

the programmer would be like a superchips Tuner, or hypertech. you basically answer yes or no questions on the tuner to reporgram your ECU.
