Default Engine Light P0358

Hi, I have a 02 Durango. Just changed my spark plugs. Went for a test drive and noticed it wasn't running right, and the engine light would stay on. Opened the hood and noticed the #8 wire harness to coil was disconnected. Must have missed it when replacing the plugs. So I connected it back together. It seems to run just fine now. Although the engine light is still staying on. The code is P0358: Ignition coil H primary/secondary ciruit malfunction. I am guessing that must be the #8 coil I reconnected. And that possibly the engine light is staying on because it must be reset now. Is this correct? And if so how do I reset to turn off the engine light? Thankyou.

Default RE: Engine Light P0358

Well today the problem has dissappeared, no more engine light. It seems to have fixed itself. After going through a search, my next step would have been to disconnect the neg. on the battery for 20 min. But it is not necessary now.

Nice to see that you got your problem fixed. Ya your light just needed to reset it's self.
