I have a '99 Dodge Durango SLT with the 5.9L V8.
The check engine light went on a week ago and when sitting at a light the truck will suddenly inch forward and it feels like somone rear ended me.
Also when it does this the brake peddle pushes in further almost like its slipping or somthing.
I wanna know if this is maybe the tranny? or is it somthing else?
It also makes this really weird noise randomly when turning like a whoooopp! If that helps anny.
Please if you have any advice let me know.

Sounds like you need a new brake booster (or you have to bleed the brakes but it sounds morelike the brake booster to me), andas for the whoop I have no idea. Go to autozone they can pull the code for the CEL for free.

 

I have a 1999 Durango with the 5.9L. In the last week the engine has just died while driving down the street. It
won't immediatlet restart but after 30 minutes or so it will. Can anyone help me?
