Default Ignition Problem or Something Else

94, 3.5L Driving down the road and all gages go blank and engine dies. Much like someone just turned off the engine. I pull to a stop and restart the car no problem. At other times I go to start the car, and not all the gage lights come on as they do every other time I start the car. Under this condition starter cranks, but engine does not start. Ignition is then turned off and turned on again with all gage lights turning on and the car starts right up. A month or so ago I noticed while driving all my gages turn off and then back on, almost like a flicker or short, but the car did not die. Now it does. What say you Intrepid 1st Gen Guru's?[/align]

I checkedthe wiring diagrams in my service manual. There are a number of ground points. Any ones in particular that you suggest I focus in on? Thanks for the response!!

Checked the grounds to all points in the front of the car. All are secure. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'd say the ignitionswitch is going bad. I had the same problem on my Jeep years ago; the constant on side.

Reporting back: Yep it was the ignition switch. Replaced it with another and all symptoms gone.
