Default Rear axle spindle nut

Can anyone tell me what socket size I need to remove the large nut holding the spindle assembly on for a 97 Eagle Vision with rear drum brakes? Intrepid should be the same. It looks like it's about 34mm but I don't want to have to buy 5 sockets and then return the ones I don't need.

I think it was a 34. I got a loaner kit with three axel sockets from Advanced Auto parts and one of them did fit. When you are done, you return them for a full refund (I'm not sure if you are aware, but many auto parts stores give this service). If you do it the same way, you don't really have to buy any!

I measured it up as close as I could and it was either 35 or 36. Went to Canadian Tire and they had 34, but no 35 or 37. They had lots of 36 so that's what I bought. Haven't tried it yet though.

I've tried it, and it is 36 mm.
