my intrepid currently has 104,500 miles it has a recent trans rebuild and a host of other new parts...My question is now at this mileage is the engine next?? how many miles should i expect to get out of this?car hasn't been the best in the reliability department and I have been on the fence about selling the car. It looks great alot of room but i just don't trust it . I have had the car since 29,000 miles and have been on top of it as far as maintenance and my wife drives the car so it has never been abused..any feedback is appreciated

 

thats about the lifespan--100K is when you should expect to think about how long you want to keep this car.

 

I've seen people get considerably more miles out of that engine without a problem. It depends on how well it was maintained too. You can always do a compression check to get a "GENERAL" idea of what kind of shape it's in. Good luck.

 

Our 1993 Intrepid has 194,000 miles and is on it's original engine and tranny.
