I just picked up a 95 Intrepid with the 3.3,Engine sounds great runs great.When i rev it up it has a like a lifter ticking or rattle coming from what seems to be right under the valve cover.Are fixing a sticky lifter on these engines hard?Or could I dump some marvel mystery oil in there to see if it loosens it up?Just wondering if it is common on these engines and if there is a known remedy.Thanks

 

I have read that the rocker arm brackets seem to break on these motors, I would pull the valve cover off and see if that is your problem. I havnt had it happen to me yet, but have read about it.

 

i seem to have a similar problen same exact year and motor, but i think mine sounds like in the crank, but kinda under th intake mani, i hope thats all thats wrong with mine!! so what would i be looking for when pulling the valve cover??? im thinking a bad cam bearing on mine, mine dont tick it more clacks but not real loud and u can only hear it good when u give it gas really slow or u put the car in gear with ur foot on the brake
