Thanks for the help, Roadrunner. It just so happens that it was a weak battery,(I hope). We used the car the other night, and had the headlights on for a while, couple that with it sitting all day yesterday in the very cold. I had a charger on it, but don't know how to read the gauge. If anyone can educate me here, i thank you in advance! I feel a little silly, should have put two and two together, it's a case of monday morning quarterbacking. </P>
I hope so too. A battery is cheaper and easier to deal with. If a dead or weak battery is being strained(like on start up) it will sometimes smoke and smell. If it starts to turn over then stops and makes the humming or a clicking sound, until you let off the key, then I would say it's definately the battery.
