Help Perhaps?!?!
Well then, regardless of this issue, you should change it. The old rule of thumb was 80K but now I have heard most auto manufactures say 100-120k miles. If your water pump is timing belt driven, save your self the hassle and change it at the same time. Of course, when you change a belt, change the tensioner also (the bearings don't last much longer then the belt). All the parts usually go for about $100, and it's a bit of work, but it's much cheaper and much less work then the alternative.
