Then we got PO700 means Trans control system malfunction? PO740 TCC Circuit malfunction? Also P1776 meaning for another transmission code, right?.....I am not sure if the meanings are right but thats what i was told by auto zone...lol
Based on what you said about the codes, I said...

As for the 700, 740, and 1776, I can't help. They are internal to the transmission and I have no experiance there...sorry. I would suggest you bring it to a good tranny shop and when done, I think your speedo issue will be solved.
I made the assumption those codes were valid. I just tried to look it up for a 97 trep, and it's an invalid code. Are you sure you wrote it down correctly? Have the code re-read to verify the #. If it IS 1776, I have no clue! I did verify the other 2 tranny codes, and they are what you said. You will need to go to a tranny shop or the dealer to read the code from the TCM (the OBD II only notes theer is a fault in the TCM's memory. You need a diffrent scan tool to read the fault and then derive a conclusion about the fix. As I said before though, I'm not too much help in this are though.

PS for a 2000 intrepid the 1776 code IS valid, was the PCM changed with a wrong year? I don't even know if that would work though!
