new to the forum... searched a little but i really wanted to ask peoples opinion.... i have a 96 sohc motor and need turbo now lol i have looked at ebay kits but there is no way that manifold will work with the way our motor is set up... does anybody have the ebay kit with pics??? not interested in 3 grand for a kit either cause i would just do the 2.4 swap for that cash... thanks every1

 

you could alwyas swap the head to a dohc and just get the srt4 turbo

Or get an a mattdog SOHC adapter to use the SRT-4 turbo. Costs about $220.

 

where can i get the mattdog adapter???? and with the srt-4 turbo does that mean any other srt4 parts needed?/??

ok i checked it out on the forum... but i still wanna know about the ebay kit... thanks for the input on the adapter though cause that is a very good possiblity but the thought of a grand for a full kit sounds so tempting... please post pics if u got em of any kind of sohc turbo kit!! lol thanks

just sum advice but i saved my moneyfrom work untill i was 18and didnt buy that turbo kit i always wanted, and i just spent it....i bought a 440 plymouth satellite...only has 3000 miles on engine and trans but the body needs work....now i have already drove it and its fast. im glad i didnt spend all my cash on my neon cause my new car will apreciate in value.....just a thought..and for example i have already destroyed my friends modded wrx.........but i still love my neon .....

 

i dont know who has swapped to a dohc for the srt turbo....though i do know who has installed an srt4 turbo
