hey, i wanna get a cat back exhaust on my car nowbut plan on doin a turbo real soon... what have you guys done as far as exhaust with turbo set ups on the 420a??? will the standard exhaust be fine as long as i dont run more than like 8 psi? or do i need to have 3" pipe regardless of the amount of boosT??? any pics would be cool too...thanks

 

the dodge neon engine isnt a 420a engine and has no similartiy with the eclipse.. the dodge neon sohc is a ECC and the dohc is a ECB....but anyways you standard exhause would be ok...u just have the performance gains as you would with 3' exhaust. and if you're boosting on stock internals....be careful and watch your afr readings

 

Actually they have the same block but the heads are different.

Exhaust is the last thing you need to upgrade.

 

the stock exhaust will work fine and even with a turbo, you wont ever NEED 3" exhaust....
2.5" works great but it would help to get a low restriction muffler....i personally love the srt4 rear section....(no muffler)

 

yea i noticed that.....so its just the catalyic conv. and pipe on the srts for exhaust???

the srt4's mid pipe actually has a couple of resonators in it too though
