Here's a theoretical question. What if someone did install a 2nd filter, what is the routing for the fuel lines? Mine comes out of the pump(one line), then goes to a silver cylinder, then out to the hard line running to the front of the car. The line coming out of the pump doesn't have the plastic quick disconnect, it has the metal hose clamp on it. Does this matter? Is it possible just to bypass the second "thingey"? It just seems that every now and then, my car seems to idle a little low, and I'm wondering if this could be the reason.

Thanx for the assistance. On Friday, I'm going to a junkyard that has a couple Neons in it, and I'm crawling underneath to see what I can see. When I figure it out, I'll post it for future trouble-shooting.

Went to the junkyard, and discovered what is called a fuel accumulator? Every neon that I could get under had this on it. What is it, and what does it do? It appears to be the "fuel filter" that all the auto part stores stock.
