Haha, off topic... I saw this and thought "I have 2.4 vehicles..." 1 Beretta, 1 peiced together SRT-4 1st gen, and 0.4 for the shell in my yard (Yeah, doesnt even count for half...)

anyways.. I know the SRT-4s have the turboed 2.4L, other than that... the Stratus has the 2.4...

Any 2.4 engine from 1995 to 2000 Stratus/Breeze/Cirrus, 1996-2000 Caravan/Voyager, 2001 and up PT Cruiser/Stratus/Sebring and also the SRT-4 Engine. They will all swap into the 1st gen Neon. Some harders than others, just modifing stuff but they will all work. The most common is yes, the stratus or the SRT4.

Yeah, obviously some will be harder than others. Especially the SRT-4, since its turbo charged, you need a totally different PCM, and all sorts of other stuff.. Very possible though if you are mechanically inclined and you have the money... I am going on about... month 6 now from when I wrecked my R/T and deciding to do this swap til where I am now.. but my stuff was not very well planned out, I do have to admit...

yeah see I decided I wanted to swap to a mtx like 3 months ago and have been reading up and basically "studying" it and I have never done anything of that magnitude by myself but just from reading alot about it I feel fine.

oh yea i can see a stock trany swap to be ok.but with an engine not made for your car ehhh...i find kinda difficult? cuz i absolutely wana do the srt4 swap trany and all!! i mean im kinda mechanicly smart but only basics.actually modifying things kinda scares me?

haha yeah well like NeonRT98 said make sure you study your *** off about everything before you do anything. Makes stuff alot easier. Even if people tell you that you are crazy (my mom and step dad think I am crazy for wanting to swap to a mtx).
