ok well this idea kinda came to mind. my motor right now has just alittler over 245,000 miles on it. and i was going to replace the motor with a fresh one (like 80k on it) at 250k. but then i got the idea to just run it until it doesn't want to start anymore and then put in the engine (as well as the transmission) that i will be buying. what do u guys think? run it till it runs no more, or replace it before it runs no more?

I wouldnt run it "till it goes no more", but I would just keep running it till some things start to go wrong and you know that its time for the swap. OR you could just run it for a little longer and swap in the summer. I would probably just swap it in the summer so you dont keep running it and say all of a sudden it dies next winter and you dont have the time to do the swap then. So you could do either but I would just swap it in late summer.
