cracked block??!?!?!?

Default cracked block??!?!?!?

hey my neon has been leaking oil since i got it... hence why i only paid $400 for it lol, but i havent been driving it at all until the problem is fixed and I was told it is a camshaft seal but im not positive and i know a cracked block is a possibility.... how would i know if i had a cracked block????

i highly doubt u have a cracked block cause u probably would see the oil blowing all over when its running,,and if it was cracked u would know,,where about's is it leaking from??andcould u geta pic of where its leaking from,,!!

When my cam seal was leaking, it poured oil out as fast as I could pour it back in, literally.

it could be a number of things,,oil pan gasket-oil filter's not tight enough-bad valve cover gasket-crank seal-or like what pimpberetta cam seal!!ide check 1 of them thing's,,,good luck,,

in 95% of the cases of a cracked block it would leak coolant not oil.

if the block develops a crack then its usually internal....mostly between the coolant and oil ports or the cylinder wall......if the block is cracked then it would show signs similar to a blown headgasket.....

if your motor leaks oil externally then it would most likey be a seal or gasket sumwhere
