Default Cooling fan problem or not

95 Neon Mtx with A/C.
Overheated, upon checking the fan was not running, Swapped the relay no change, removed the fan and it runs fine when connected to the battery. There was no power at the fan plug, I then found the rad. fan fuse was blown. After replacing the fuse it seems to be working normally.
My concern is that the fan motor may be on its way out and that is what caused the fuse to blow? Has anyone else had an issue with this?

Also are all the 95 fans the same or do I have to find one from a MTX with A/C?

I wouldn't worry unless it continues to blow. It's electric, they go out sometimes.

Ya I suppose that's true but, it does have 312,000km on it and the fan is the only thing on that fuse.
I'll see what happens in a day or two.
Thanks.

fueses will blow over time if they are on something that draws alot of current(like fans), heating and cooling cycles make the metal get weak just like a light bulb and they eventually go, you should be safe

Well it's been a couple of days now and the new fuse seems to have fixed the problem.
Thanks!
