Default ITS NOT THE CLUSTER

Hey people Come Help Me Out Please I have A
Dodge Neon 1998 Sohc

and the speedometer does not work and ive tried it with 4 differant clusters so it is not the cluster were the heck is the speedometer sensor located i have looked and looked but still no success

Please let me know something a picture would be nice.

Do you have an MTX (manual tranny) or ATX (automatic tranny)?

Manual Transmission

but there are two URL links there

i think i found the speed sensor ill go take picture of what i think it is tell me what you think or know

is this the right thing???

welll i dont think it is cuz it is plugged in and that would mean the speedo should work right???

Thats you VSS. Does your odometer work also? If not, then you need to replace the VSS.

hmm im pretty sure my odometer works my tripometer works does that count

how do i replace it i can even take the plug off but i figure since it had the orange and white wire that it was the speedometer sender

Buy a new sensor and put it in, not a difficult thing.

yeah i took off the old one but am putting it back on for the time being till i get a new one
