95 Neon won't turn over
Hiya. I'm new here, found this place whioe trying to findsome info on why my 95 Neon won't start.
and I'm glad I did.
Anyways.....I have a 95 Dodge Neon.....please don't ask me why type of engine...I have NO idea. I'ma biker and know diddly about car engines.
What I do know is that for the 2 years I've owned it, the Neon has been a GREAT car, VERY reliable.
Until recently.
Last week, I went to go to work and the car just cranks but won't turn over.
Battery tests fine, so I know it's not that.
Any ideas, suggestions????

First of all,[sm=welcomesign.gif]!
I would check the clean and tighten the battery posts and clamps and check all the connections to the starter. The neon is sensitive to battery corrosion. Do you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the key to ACC-ON?

thanx!!!
yeah, I cleaned the battery posts with a baking soda solution, since they were pretty corroded.
and no, I don't really hear anything from the fuel pump. But then I never have.
I'll give tightening the posts a try......
