Default 3.0L CAI

anyone have a post already on how to make one and another question about how much would it cost to make?

3.0 tube - $10-$15 from junkyard.
K&N Filter - $30-$50
Exhaust pipe - $5
Hose clamps - $5

It's not very difficult at all.
Trim the stock battery tray, get the tube and cut it, put the pipe in between to extend it some and then the pipe again to point it down, put the filter on and BAM! Pics are below.

the only reason why you have to cut the tube in half is if you have the dual fans


if you have a single fan then you can leave the tube how it is
thats how i did it and thats how i've seen it done a few times

alrite thanks cause i definetly want a CAI but i went to my uncle's shop and he said that the car isnt looking or running to good and isnt gonna last much longer so this seems to be the way to do it? where could i get a k&n filter? modern? or somewhere else

K&N filters can be purchased just about anywhere. Part #RU-3590 works well.

ummm do you have have to cut a hole for the o2 sensor and how would you connect the vacuum hose?

There is no O2 sensor on the air intake tube. You can just put a breather filter on the nipple from the valve cover.
