So When You Race At The Track Or Watever Do You Stomp It And Keep Up With The Shifting Going Or Do You Slowly Increase Speed Till You Get There Becuz Alot Of People Have Said That Stomping ItIsnt Good For The Engine And If Not Then Why So Many People Do It??


Dude this car is like my bad luck car ive never had so many problems well it is only my second car well this morning i was driveing down a bumpy road going about 5-10 miles and hour and i hit a huge bump and tore up my front bumper again and then i got to were i was going and walk behind my car and i was trailing oil so i just had my fiance's mom give us a ride to school.. well after school i figured i just lost the oil plug but i got under my car to find out i knocked a whole in my oil pan
it seems like its just one problem after another and i still dont have the #2 fuse figured out [>:]
so i cant even drive my car till next month because i dont have any money [:@]
so ill just drive my moms truck and hopefully not break it

OK WHEN YOU WANT TO GET UP AND GO DO YOU STOMP THE GAS AND KEEP UP WITH THE SHIFTING OR DO YOU GRADUALLY PRESS THE GO PEDAL (GAS PEDAL) AND SHIFT WHEN YOU GET THERE

rev it till it quits, dump the clutch, and dont let off between gears, slip the clutch & slam the next one...

seriously though, if you dont know how to drive and have to ask, dont bother racing please.

 

You have to find out what RPM's to launch at for your car. Depends mostly on tires and traction. If you just dump the clutch, more than likely you will spin your tires (sounds nice, but you aren't moving anywhere).

i start off 1st gear just like im doin some regular driving until i hit about 4k....then from there on its just all gas and fast shifting..........
ease the start off in 1st so you dont spin the tires.....then once your moving just gas it...

(though i dont know how my car is gonna handle it once its goin again)[&:]

 

i preffer a 27oo rpm launch in my one car and in my neon i launch at 3k. even though it burn the tires at watever i luanch at above 2k.

 

its more fun bashing on a neon to launch it in 2nd gear from 7600 RPM on an aftermarket PCM
thats about the point the valves float and it wont rev anymore. sometimes it spits the rockers out
