hot laps went good
i started 8th in the heat race, came up to 2nd, then all the lifters collapsed and it lost power so i ended up finishing 3rd.
the feature didnt run because the concession building caught fire and burnt to the ground. and that ended racing for the night. car was fast but the lifters dont seem to wanna stay up. its not floating the valves, its only after the oil gets hot.( like 240-250 oil temp[&:]) water temp isnt goin beyond 220 so its safe.
i definately need to get an oil cooler on that thing.
wasnt there some sort of problem with the stock lifters? i heard PT lifters are better for some reason
i found my axle seal leak is between the seal and the transmission case. easy fix.
i dont have any pics from the track yet but ill post some when i get them.
i need any input on the lifter problem and any way to get more midrange torque outof this motor, cam timing? anything.... i gott have more power around 4500 R's to get off the corner. can i advance just one cam to help keep the topend but give a little more mid?

racerx55, have you tried running synthetic oil in the neon? Might help with heat. Also the PT valvetrain is stronger than the neons.
