from the looks of it, the filter still sits right above the exhaust manifold

 

ive got a question one of my friends say i should get the Flexi pipe for the intake and cut a hole in the piece of metal next to the radiator so it can get cold air because right now its mounted behind the engine and it cant be picking up to much cold air there

Anty intake that puts the filter above the exhaust manifold isn't gonna yield you much power at all. You may see a drop in power actually. The filter needs to be located towards the front of the engine under the battery tray.

 

or behind the front facia

 

ok does the pipeing have to be metal or can you use like dreyer hose the flexi hose. cuz i was thinking about putting it by the radiatior?? is that a good place??

how often should the filter be replaced?? are all the filters the same right now i have the K&N But does it really Matter the brand?

 

k&n would be the best to use in almost any car....
really the only way to loose performance with a cai iis by placing the filter by a heat source
