97 neon sohc. need some help please. getting a p0443 for the evap purge solenoid circuit. I already tried changing the evap purge solenoid valve but that didn't fix it. I went to alldata and the test for it said to test the voltage on the wire going to that valve with key on engine off and it had to be over 10 volts. mine was like 12 so it was fine. the next test was to unplug the wires from the pcm and test ohms between pins 20 and 68 for the evap circuit. the test said it should have been below 5 ohms. mine was like 10 ohms. the flow chart for this failure said to "repair the open evap purge solenoid control circuit". what does that mean? where do I look? could my leak detection pump be causing this p0443 failure? by the way, it's a hard fault. clearing the codes does nothing. it comes right back on as soon as the key is turned and car starts. thanks for your help!
