97 SOHC NEON ATX 4DR

i just got done shavin my SOHC head, it runs like a beautyn faster than ever before,now im wonderin if theirs anything i can do to my ATX to perform "better"? any suggestions??

i forgot to mention that i always had a sort of "boggle down" problem, at take off it'll burnout, n then when shiftin i feel the tranny sort of "again boggle down",when i hit 45 it ill take of n accelerate just fine.. any ideas???

and i think i know what your talking about do you have a tac in your car?
it could be when your decelerating the trans thinks your still prsssing hard on the gas. i was just home from iraq and i got to drive my car for the first time in awhile and it would do something like that where the whole car seemed to slow just a bit. im thinking its just a sticky kick down cable. if you have the money just beat the hell out ot the one you have before you have to replace it with a MTX (and i dont mean doing a bunch of netral slams)
I tried to do this with mine but ended up just freeing up the cable a bit so that it operates normaly

 

yea i was reading that forum, i did do alot netral slams but i had that problem before, n back then i dumped $900 to have it rebuilt but still had the same problem, the meachnic told me it was a pulley inside the tranny that kept "falling out of place" n when he took it out n showed me their was a massive indent in the pulley, im thinkn its happeningagain, ever heard of that situation before???

 

no i dont know of a pully being inside the trans but i havent tore one apart yet.

 

i beat the hell out of my trans but i dont do nutral slams i never had a problem with mine maybe its time for a diffrent rebuilt trans

its not so much of a pulley, im not sure wat it might be called, my brother said its called "gear spool", i really wanna know is how i can fix it or if thiers a Transmission performance rebuild kit i can purchase somewhere??

 

there is a performance rebuild kit on Modernperformance but its only gaskets, seals, and cluchplates. my best guess is an old trans and a rebuild kit i got my rebuilt kit for 96 bucks out the door from somewhere in downtown detroit
