how much if any shaft play from side to side is usual with the srt turbo. and is there a place i can go to and find a diagram of wat lines and hoses run to wat from the turbo. thnx

 

there should be no shaft play in the turbo....the more shaft play you have, the more miles that are on the turbo and the sooner it will have to be rebuilt....
mine has no shaft play at all....the turbine doesnt even budge

the hole ontop of the turbo is for the oil feed
the hole on the bottom is for the oil return
on the backside of the turbo:
top hole is coolant feed
bottom hole is coolant return

well i got mine in the other day and it has just a small amount of side to side play. how much would that be to rebuild?

 

honestly i have no idea on a price.....if its just a little bit then you will probally be fine.....just as long as the turbine isnt hitting the side wall

yea im taking it apart slowly now. there is only a small surface like crack in the manifold that i can fix at the shop. other than that it looks fine so far
