No offence, but you might want to consider a welding class or 2 before you do much more welding on that car. Would hate to see it all rip apart at the first speed bump you come to.

I know, you already know how, or your dad does right?!

Find your local Community Coll. and run that by their welding shop and ask the teach what he thinks.

Your using a stick right? A tig couldn't possibly be so sloppy, even in the hands of an amature.

The welding didnt look bad to me, its not gonna be perfect, and besides, it does not have to look pretty to be strong. Besides, it looked fine anyways, and his father (I think thats what he said) Is a professional body guy, im sure he has been doing it longer than you have...

In body work maybe, but I weld for a living.

Tig is better for this type of work because you have a filler metal to work with if your skilled. I wasn't looking to insult anyones work, just wouldn't want someone to waste a lot of time only to have to redo it, or worse, get hurt.

Ha if i had the money to drop on a tig welder I would. But i dont know what your seeing cuz those welds are pretty damn strong. Its a miller gas welder i dont know what model my dad did the welding which is done now Im starting to put the interior back together the car is down on wheels now that the suspension is back together. I just have some very minor bondo work and some sanding and blocking before paint but we are going to start on the front end now. I ll try to post more pics cuz italready looks way different than what you all seen. And as for your question spud with the remaining parts I need the project will cost 6000 for everything give or take a few hundered. I got a deal on a hood its like brand new for 350 but its black.[:@]but you cant touch one on ebay for less than 500 so its ok. plus its in illinois so i can pick it up.
I still need both fenders, headlights, fog lights, ac condenser, splash guards, horns, and a center console. So if anybody know where to find them for cheap please let me know ive been all over ebay.
