HELP ASAP
ok so this morning i was driving and went to back into my parking spot at school and when i put the car in reverse it wouldnt move at all it was like neutral, and neutral is like drive and drive is like drive, and park is still like park always is. why would reverse not be working at all. its a 2nd gen automatic. i have no idea what it is

maybe a problem with the linkage....
when you get home try to put the car up on jack stands....not to high though...
remove the tranny linkage from the trans.....
start the car and from under the hood, manually put it in each gear.....check and see how the tires are goin
atleast this will help you figureo ut if the problem is in the tranny or not

during lunch today i got it to go into reverse and everygear works properly now, except that it doesnt shift into third. could i reset the computer by unhooking the battery to get it to shift or is there something else that i could do. also when i take off its kinda jerky, and hesitates alot.

i would have to say the linkage came loose, it happend to my wife when we were in alaska.
we bought a car in alaska for 400 at an auction and it needed a new trans. we had it replaced and the retards that put it in must have been well retarted cause the linkage came loose after a week and now it leaks trans fluid like a sub with a screen door. i will never go there again.
