yeah i plan on getting them in a week or so....i figure i might as well get the motor back first, otherwise i dont have anything to put the retainers on....and the spring have been sitting in their box in the garage for over a month now......i just wanna use all this crap

hey spud. did u ever figure out that rpm problem with ur car that was making it hit a limiter ....or made it feel like it

Heres the deal. You definatly need new retainers. The old springs have made small indentions where they have been sitting since they were installed and have been wearing on it for miles opon miles.Making the retainer weaker in these areas now if you put a spring with more tentionand a cam that is more agressive it will within probally 4000 miles snap that retainer. This is all on the microscope side of things. Let me look around and I should be able to find you just retainers. And some that can handle the #14.
