Default engine replacement

I have a 1997 Neon ACR DOHC with a blown engine thanks to my daughters boyfriend. I would like to put in a replacement engine. What years and models are bolt in replacements?

Default RE: engine replacement

all first gen neon engines will bolt right in

any of us would recomend a 98 or 99 DOHC for the reliability and the probably least miles
and probably a 95 SOHC just for the performance cam that comes stock with it

i say you make him pay for the new engine!

try to stick with a 97-99 dohc....then it will just bolt right in...
95-96 will work too but you will have to change some sensors
