fuel regulators
ok so i have a begi 2025 fuel regulator ( http://www.bellengineering.net/Pages...struction.html ) . it says that it goes after the stock fuel regulator and is " the last item before the fuel returns to the tank". will this provide me with the fuel gains i need to run 5 to10 puonds of boost while keepin the stock regulator on? i thought that i needed to bypass the stocker (spoolboy) or put an inline pump oninstead. Also do ineed to put it after the fuel rail or can i say screw that and put before?

RE: fuel regulators
here is how the fuel system will be routed:
stock fuel line > fuel rail > regulator > return line
if you want to get 5-10pounds of boostthen you will need to have an aftermarket pump, or do the spoolboy mod
the stock regulator only flows about 49pounds of fuel pressure
if you keedp the stock regulator in place and dont get an inline pump or do the spoolboy mod then you will run out of fuel at about 4-5 pounds of boost....so,
you can either do the spoolboy mod and bypass the stock regulator which will allow the stock pump to push out as much fuel as you need (provided that you have a high flow intank pump) and will give you as much fuel as you need for plenty of boost
or
you can modify the pump for a return line only and run an inline fuel pump in adition to the stock pump....if you use an inline pump then you ceep the fuel running through the stock regulator.....the inline pump will pull out the rest of the needed fuel.....
either way the regulator will work for both and give you all thefuel you will need.....it regulates the fuel by the amount of fuel that is allowed to return to the tank
