The belt, water pump and idler pulley should all be changed at the same time, 100,000 miles. If anyone of those go out, you will bend some valves.

This sounds like a good idea.
What is causeing my problems hasn't been figured out yet but I will post on it A.S.A.P!!!

You need to replace your spark plug tube seals.

I did replace the vaulve cover gasket and it came with the top inserts which I used. But still oil is slipping over the top.

does anyone know what might have caused these problems?

i really dont want to run into them since my car has so many miles...
I know what I did, I bought this car for 300 with a blown engine without asking any questions. I thought it was going to be a simple swap. Boy!!! was I wrong. The guy told me that he siezed the engine by running over a puddle and sucked up water. I think that he maybe flooded the front end some how. And #$%^#ed everything up. But IDK it could be fait, maybe Im not ment to havea running neon.[&:]

UPDATE: Yesterday me and my buddy pulled the engine out of the MTX neon and put it back in the ATX. After 5.5 hrs we finished the engine and it fired up on the first try. It sounds so fricken mean. I dont know whats up with my MTX neon, its got to be a wiring issue, but Im glad I dont have to deal with it anymore!! I now have a 10:5.1 compression engine thats running beautifully.

The other cool thing is that I have someone interested in buying it for $200. Im also throwing in a LUK clutch and Hurst short shifter for free.

I just wanted to let yall know that even though we tried to make one neon start for 3 months now, I didnt give up on neons (even though I wanted to)and I put the engine in another and now Im happy.
Pics and video will be comming soon!!
