Build your own 3.0L intake, a UDP, ATX TB should get you started.

 

That really depends on the build date. My 99 R/T is an 8/98 build, and it needed to have the HG replaced with a MLS unit. I think the factory switch over was around 11/98.

 

how about a 98? does the head gasket cause an issue in a 98 r/t?

 

If it was built after 11/98, then you probably don't have the MLS HG.

 

ok what is the 3.0L intake from? also any ideas on a good exhaust. i mean from the head t the tailpipe. i want everything done 100%. no $20 fart cans for me,lol. also whats a good size tire to put on the srt4 rims that are going on my 99 r/t? any and all help would be great.

hey das, i dont think there are many cars out yet that were built after 11/08

for the srt4 rims, get some 205/40-17's...they fit great and dont rub at all

 

for the 3.0L intake search for it in the search box at the bottom for all the details
but it's the intake tube from a mid 90's 3.0L V6 caravan

for the exhaust
neons already have a great exhaust system since it's already 2 1/4 and you have the R/T which has the high flow muffler on it
for the header if you have to pass smog get a mid lenght header for your DOHC since it will keep the cat
if you don't have smog then go ahead and get a long tube header which eliminates the cat

 

i can def find a intake from a mid 90's caravan........
we dont have emission testing around here so i like to go ask "free flowing" as possible but without the annoying ricer sound. im looking at a set of srt-4 rims right now but the guy wants around $300 for the set (without tires), so? but i do like the rims, lol

so spud whens a good time for a timing belt replacement?
