yeah but not all that much.....unless you leave only the shell, trans, and motor
the bumpers dont weight but a bit less then 10lbs anyways, and if the hood and trunk are made to be removed for racing then there will be more drag then its worth

might be a possibility....

i myself am not a huge fan of weight reduction......unless you have an all drag car, there isnt much of a reason to stip down your daily driver

i hear ya on that one, the cars are alredy light as hell, unless your gonna go carbon fiber its pointless to weight reduce, even tho cf doesnt reduce taht much weight.

Ok the secret to a 6 second neon is...

First take off the radiator cap
Second Take said cap and put it on a new car cause it aint gonna happen in a neon.

k well a little has happened. drum to disc swap finished
60mm TB out of a jeep is done
6x9's front and rear
weight reduction(bumpers gone, hood on pins and trunk on pins for easy removal.
flipped trunk
got a/f gauge and volt gauge installed in vents. keyless start gettin ready to go in.
2nd gen middle console swap
got my MTX, and gettin 2.4 thursday.
puttin alarm in to day.
I got 15" rims of of a dodge shadow.
ps and ac deleted
battery in trunk
out of everything you listed a long time ago about wanting to make a 6 second neon, there are only 3 things in that list that really help you out at all in making the car any faster
Actually at the speed and quickness of a "potential" neon...an ATX would be quicker not the MTX.
