i might be crazy for thinking this will work but if all goes well we will see something completely new. i have never heard of anyone trying this but i tend to be a bit of an "out of the box, mad gearhead" So this is the idea and if anyone has heard of this being done i would like to know. As many 1st gen neon owners may also feel, i do not like the front facia of my car. i dont want to just body-kit my car... So thus i started day dreaming ( again) about owning an srt-4 and said to myself... self they are made on the same platform, with enough work it can be done... i am going to place the fenders, and core support from from a second gen onto my first gen. then i will get an srt-4 style hood. if i can pull this off this should trully be of great interest. it will take a great deal of time and money. should it work i will take pictures and update all of u. like i said, if any one has any pics of this done or has any REAL information i would be greatfull. p.s. bull*&^t really neadn't be posted in reply

 

hey you know they make the srt bumper for the first gen and the hood and thats fiberglass too so it would be easy to make it workwith but im sure it's been done so too make your life easy go get them and cut and trim them to take the srt headlights and the other misc parts good luck because imo metal will be harder to make it look right

 

its not the same plateform. the SRT-4 is based on the 03-05 Neons. plus the diminsions are different.

 

yea thats why i said do the fiberglass body parts and mod them to work with the rest of the srt parts

 

if you have all those things it's just screaming "STEAL ME!!!"

keep that in mind when you do these crazy body kits...

 

You wouldn't be the 1st person to put an SRT front bumper or headlights on a 1st gen. It's been done...takes alot of fab work and skill. Doesn't look right on a 1st gen!

Has been done and I saw one on Ebay about a month ago. went for about 8 grand or so.
