i agree its not realy a faster engine i do have some proof my non turbo neon 2.0 can take my non turbo stratus 2.4 so it isn't that muchfaster but i think my strat could take it if it was a mtx

What would I need to do in order to put a trubo on my 2.0 DOHC and not have to worry about blowing it? Will I need to bore the pistons, put new rings, etc? it does blow smoke if it idols for a minute and you rev it up.

Well, a couple post down someone mentioned that if you get a srt-4 manifold, and turbo, it will bolt right on to your neon. Because your car is already smoking though, i would say you probally need to do some work to the engine. You could probally do a stock rebuild for pretty cheap and be able to run 6-10psi safely. If you wanted more power i would say build up the bottom of the motor with some forged parts. Although i guess if you are blowing white smoke, you could probally just replace the gaskets on the top of the block. What i am trying to say is: get your car running great first, then turbo it.

these would help you out alot....but be prepared to spend alot of money really fast

i wouldnt trust more then about 8psi on a stock bottom end.....the rods arent that strong...and with the milage on the motor you might have a problem with the bearings like i did....
if you want to put the srt4 turbo on your car and be able to run as much boost as you want and not worry about anything, then it wil ost a pretty good chunk of change....i think ive got about 5k in my motor right now.....but that has a few extra parts too
