Hey. Does anyone know if I can take the SRT-4 motor and transaxle and put it in my 1998 neon R/T? I want a car that looks slow and goes like there's no tomorrow. My car is pretty fast for what it is, but I want MORE POWER!!! I am a true Mopar guy and wouldn't put anything else in my car BUT a mopar motor. I dont care if I have to do some cutting and I don't care if it would cost more than just buying an SRT-4 car. I want something no one else has. Any information about this will help. Thanks.

I'd suggest a turbo build up on your 2.0 neon R/T. You can get them pretty fast with the Hahn setup.

 

Yes, hundreds have the SRT-4 in them, but only a select few actually have the T-850 tranny with them! :-D *Is doing both!*

FYI, Iwantansrt4, I am about 7-8 months into my R/T to SRT-4 swap, and 6 grand.. Do all your research, make sure you have both the 1st gen FSM and the SRT-4 FSM, too!

 

i still dont see why people think they need an srt4 motor to be really fast

 

lol no pun intended, Diferent strokes different folks =P

 

i would think people would just go the better route and turbo the 2.0 itsa littlecheaper and really easy compared to the swap

 

the main thing it seems about the srt4 swap is the unique factor

 

what unique factor they are just a little faster and they have been done...alot
