I'm looking to turbo my 96 sohc since it's not my daily driver anymore...and I was wondering what type of turbo I should use? I've read around a little and a garret t3 supposedly works good on a neon??? I was also wondering, is there like, an older car i would find in a junkyard that would have a turbo i could use for my sohc that i could rebuild or something. Any input would be awesome! Thanks

 

you can get a DOHC head and put an SRT4 manifold and turbo

or get a Hahn turbo kit

 

so the srt4 turbo manifold will fit on the 1st gen neon and will be a direct bolt on with no modification? is that right?

 

the turbo manifold will bolt right onto the exhaust side of the DOHC

Ok, BUT i want to know if there is an old car i can get a turbo off of that will work in my sohc

 

if u switch to a dohc and want to do the rt4 turbo setup i have an extra one layin around

 

what do you have an extra of? Also, im going to the junkyard saturday so it would be great if i knew what carsto look for a turbo that will fit an sohc neon. I'm planning on spending LESS than $500

 

you can find alot of turbos that will work.....but not bolt right on
