It really doesnt matter what you drive. If you drive a neon, thier civic is better, If you drive a vette, thier lambo is better. They will always find something wrong with what you drive. Even if it was faster or better looking they would find something wrong with it. Just let it roll off your shoulders.

 

you kind of have to learn to do that when you have a neon..

no one but other neon owners appreciate it
or people who really appreciates cars in general

the only people that have really not liked my car were...
the majority of honda owners
AWD owners
truck owners

random *** people know about neons and autocross and appreciate the excelent stock handling

 

This is how it is in Great Falls Mt. and you have to realize that we have an air force base up here so we have guys that have 11 sec evo's and rx-8's with turbos the size of your head, STI's a plenty and any other car you can emagine. Up untill about 3 months ago when about 8 of us neon guys got together neons were know as peon's and everyother name you have heard for years. Well we changed that when we built a neon and blew most of the lot away. Well in our class. We are not that stupid to race the evos. lol. anyhow, the only way to get respect is to earn it and when you prove to them that neon's are worth the time and effort then it will all go away. To make a long story short, we went from being peon owners to being known as the neon boys. Its a small step up but its all about respect.

 

plent of people will always hate neons....thats just the way it is.....kinda like people running their fingernails down a chalk board....

yea. hense why i like my Dodge forums lol. but the car club that i'm at here in Columbus like me Neons and dont give me greif about them. but oh well. oh and all the people drive like Evo's, Audi's, Camaro's and such. oh and Porshes so yea. bunch of rich people

 

It was in the non-turbo eclipse, the 4 cyl Dodge Avenger and Sebrings.

ill be one to admit that i never gave neons the time of day. however, when i spotted my neon R/T (black w/ silver stripes), i was like hmm...i read up and was amazed at the history and specs of it. picked her up for $3000 with 89k on it, flawless. i've been toying with it ever since, and it never ceases to amaze me. great little cars i tell you!!! now, that is not to say their arent kids out their ricing them out, but thats a different story. the big picture is that neons are impressive.

p.s. - 3.0L CAI How To: i will be posting one soon. i have pics and everything. my cousin discovered a variation that places the filter right behind the fog light / in front of the wheel well.

it will include the general install as well, seeing how we have a million posts about it but no real How-to. that way when a newb who inquires, we can pm them the link to the how-to and delete their thread. w00t.
