Default Door speakers Don't work..

I just bought my 96 neon and I noticed that none of the speakers worked.. Of course I jumped on the fact that it was the factory stereo so I quickly took it out <display didnt work anyways> and installed a PIONEER DEH-P3900MP and put some other speakers in the back <the normal ones the wire was ripped from the speaker..> so the back works fine.. but when I connected the wires for the left and right front nothing at all worked.. I can't get in to see if they are hooked up or what colour each door speaker is...

Here is what I was going off of:

(Black plug)
Rear Right speaker -: Blue w/White stripe
Rear Left speaker -: Brown w/Yellow stripe
Front Right +: Purple
Front Left +: Dark Green
Rear Right speaker +: Blue w/Orange Stripe
Rear Left speaker +: Brown w/Blue Stripe
Power Antenna/Amp: White
(Gray Plug)
+12v battery wire: Pink or Pink w/White Stripe
+12v Ignition wire: Red w/ White Stripe
Front Right speaker -: Blue w/ Red Stripe
Front Left speaker -: Brown w/ Red Stripe
Metal braid plastic connector attached to back of radio is the ground wire.

Is this correct? because I have an orange wire left over.

Thanks for your help!

i bought the same exact cd player just color code the wires together and tape off the orange one or you could hook it up to the ACC so you dash lights turn on when your car does
if the speakers arent working i would run new wires from the cd playerto the speakers

just my opinion
thats what i would do

This is why you NEVER cut the original wires on a vehicle. The make these things called "wire harnesses".With a wire harness it tells you what every wire is, and if you ever want to install a factory deck again, you will still have the factory plugs to do so.I learned the hard way on a 90's buick regal when I was about 16...I will NEVER cut factory wires again..lol

I just spent $200 on my new cd player and it kicks ***... why would i ever want to put a factory one in it?

As for running new wire.. i dont know how to get the door panel off.. i have it almost off.. but the window **** and the door handle are hard to get off... so i cant inspect it to well.

Why does it keep putting HTML code after my post? Kind of annoying.

"I just spent $200 on my new cd player and it kicks ***... why would i ever want to put a factory one in it?"

because..you might get a new or different car someday and want to put that kick *** cd player in your new/diff car..then your left with a mess of wires and problems to fix later.for less then $15, you can get a wire harness, and never cut any factory wires, and installation is easier...but what do I know..I've only hooked up like 100's of stereos in my day..:P

There is a special tool to get the window crank off, or you can try a pair of needlenose pliers, and try to get the c-ring off.The door handle has a couple screws I thought, and you can work the panel around the door handle...I replaced my fronts a cpl years ago, so I cant remember every detail....good luck

I guess that is true.. but the factory one doesnt work.. i am keeping the plugs with the spliced wires.. so i can in the future just re-attach them together.. but i have seen stock harness' on eBay for $3.00 if the case was that I was gonna sell it.. but car has high milage so by the time i am done with it then it will most likly be dead.. Well how man KMs do neons usually have before they die"?
