Sorry I've asked so many questions about paint! lol I just want to get the flakey paint job looking like a solid color again for the cheapest possible. My friend found spray paint for like .50 cents a can. Remember I really don't need a show finish paint job, I just want a solid color car. The cans say they cover 10 sq ft. I was wondering how many cans of spray paint it would take to do the whole car? I believe they are 12 oz cans. Also would it be better to get gloss white, or get flat white and spray clear over that. Has anyone spray painted there car? Any help would be great! thanks
yea I am in the process of sanding the paint off. I have just a couple small spots that need bondo. Then more sanding, spot putty, primer, and more sanding. Then paint. I am going to take my time and go slow. Hopefully it comes out pretty good for spray cans.
did you just use gloss, or did you spray flat paint and clear coat? I figured gloss would be easier. I was wondering if sprayed with the flat, and clear if it would shine and hold up better?
dude if your doin the paint job with cans, do everybody a favor and go with flat.... you will see streaks either way but the gloss paint will look hideous
