I have a 96 eclipse and from what I've heard the manual transmissions in the non-turbo's are very simlar to teh neon mtx transmissions. Just have to swap the cable clutch for the hydraulic one.
I did the same thing, I was taking the gear out and it fell in, I'm hoping I can get it out without any further issues, otherwise I'm afraid I might leave it in there... any possible repercussions?

Hey Das Is It Possible For THe Neon To have a Differant Tranny becuz like i said on my other post on the inside of the tranny it doesnt feel like the gear on the inside and the gear on the VSS match up

i ended up getting my new gear from a tranny that i had sitting around......i think i have 4 extra gears now
