95 Neon trunk leak...
I have a water leak in my trunk that accumulates water after it rains.... the water is coming in from somwhere on the underneath of the outer 1/4 skin, between the 1/4 panel and the inner panel that mounts the shock. It's too small of an opening to stick my head in there..... It leaks on both sides...
Is this a common issue that can be easily fixed?

it must be pretty common cuz mine leaks also and so does my neighbor's neon. i havent begun to try to find the leak though, but if you find exactly where its leaking let me know. and imight just use some silicone to seal it.

its getting in from your tail lights i promise take them off and make sure the foam loop is still in the right spot and then re seat them if not

my son's honda got rear ended and after the repair it leaked in the trunk. i took the tail lights off and checked their gaskets (ok) and silicon'ed them anyway. still leaked. so he got in the trunk with a drop light and i watered it down with the water hose. while in the trunk he was able to find the trickle coming in on a seam that wasn't sealed up. more silicon - now ok
try the in-the-trunk-trick.

haha i agree with the guy above
yes, the trunk leak is a very common neon problem
like everyone said, the leaks comes from the taillights.
if you dont want to pull them off, go around the seal of your trunk and the outside of the taillight with clear silicone or exterior chuak. it works i promise
