I would say do it. The car is a beast and had bounced back from several hard licks from last year. The only downfall is the way the gearing is (and it may just be the track I am on) I have to shift from 2nd to 3rd halfway down the straights. Of course, with an auto, you won't run into that problem.

The shifting will be ok. We run a inverted 8 course1/2 mile 3 rd gearand 1/4 mile 2nd gear.It is a cool track the 2 ovals share the strait.Run 1 lap big oval ,1 lap small oval. it gets pretty exciting mid race when we start crossing lapped traffic..Check out the link

UDP isnt stock
stock mean stock, you have to "cheat" where they cant find it or see it.
camber helps on dirt bigtime. if your stuff moves, start welding things in place.
tires are evrything but you need different tires depending on how the track is.
if you can get away with it find some toyo proxes 195/45/14's run 3rd all the time

if your 2.2 cavalier is gutless, get a z24 with the 3.1! Even though I think the 2.2's are faster then the neons. The 5- speed swap in a cavalier is easy. go to www.v6z24.com and they'll tell you how to put a 5 speed in the 2.2.
