We can't run V6 cars. If I could do a Quad-4 swap, I would. the Cavalier actually places 3rd this past weekend. It has some guts for being only 110hp stock!

 

No way a stock Chevy 2.2 is faster than a Neon. The 2.3 Quad 4 or the 2.4? Probably.

 

Believe it. Every race he has been starting in front of me, and I always end up passing him and finishing better.

1st race of the season. 25 lap feature.
Eric - start 21st, finish 5th.
Keith - start 20th, did not finish

2nd race of the season. 20 lap feature.
Eric - start 14th, finish 7th.
Keith - start 10th, did not finish

3rd race of the season. 25 lap feature.
Eric - start 13th, finish 7th.
Keith - start 11th, finish 11th

4th race of the season. 25 lap feature.
Eric - start 4th, finish 3rd.
Keith - start 3rd, did not finish

The DNF were from wrecks that he got into, but I was already in front of him when they happened.

 

I know for a fact stockvs. stock the 2.2 cavalier is faster than a 2.0 neon. I have a 95 sohc neon. My Mom has a 96 chevy cavalier 2.2. Her car is way faster than mine. I have a 91 z24, and that is way faster than both the 2.2 and 2.0!

 

Wow!! All the Cavaliers here, with the exception of one, run in the back. The one here that runs up front is the only one of them that doesn't have the 2.2.

Hell, I beat the 2.2's with my little Mazda 323.

 

I have been checking out doing a engine swap for a Quad 4... you can't go wrong going from 110hp to 170hp, or even 150hp if it's the Twin Cam!

 

find the W41 quad 4, 199 HP stock
olds 442, certain beretta GTZ's (not all of them) and a few other oddball cars had that motor. you need the computer to go with it.

 

BTW if you bring a 2.2L cavaleir here, it takes 3 laps for you to get lapped by the lead carin the B main..

 

a 91 Z24 is a 3.1L V6 , that dont count, on the race track a neon will kill the V6 cars, its been proven many times already.
