Default 96 Neon SOHC Front Brake pad install

Hi all,

I'm a first time poster, and first time installing my brake pads on my Neon. I bought a Haynes guide and it helped alot, except, I'm stuck now. When I go to put back the caliper guide bolts (I think that's what there called), it doesn't secure to anything. Is there a nut or washer or something that I'm missing?

Much help is appreciated as this is the first time I do this. Many thanks in advance!

I changed my rear caliber last week. What bolts are you speaking of, the 2 that hold the caliber on? Or the banjo-bolt that hooks to the brake fluid line? On the rear anyway I jsut put the 2 new bolts in the 2 holes I took the old ones out of. Had to push down a bit on the caliber to get the bolts into their holes but it works fine now.

Mines are in the front. And, yes, the bolts that hold on the caliber. They seemed to go into the guide pin. They were, somehow, attatched to the inner brake pad, but as to how, is where I'm clue less.

Nevermind....I realized my mistake. I was trying to put in the guide bolts on first before putting on the caliper, instead of putting on the caliper and then tighten the bolts....I felt like such a moron.

Thanks you for your help though protiva.
