was wondering what the deal was with the intakes off ebay and if maby you could just buy one of the cheep ones for the pipe and put a k&n filter on it or another good brand? thanks

 

it would be good to use the tubing for the DIY 3.0 intake
a few people on the forum have done that

or depending which one (i've seen a few that are more than 1 piece)
you could probably just re-direct it to under the battery tray like the 3.0
but from where it is supposed to be located even putting a K&N filter won't be as good as the DIY intake

 

Putting a K&N filter on the stock tubing would be slightly better than stock and give your car a growl sound. But don't waste your money on an Ebay intake. 3.0L CAI FTW!
